Cherokee's Traveling Trio

Cherokee's Traveling Trio went to Aruba! We were thrilled to be heading to the beach and enjoyed a relaxing trip away. We laid on the beach for hours and soaked up the sun.  We stayed at the RIU Palace Aruba, which is a beautiful all inclusive resort on the famous Palm Beach. We enjoyed being by the pool or enjoy the huts on the beach, if you want a beach hut be sure to get up early and get out there with your stuff. They are quickly taken by eager beach bums. The water is blue and calm, which makes for a most relaxing day near the water. The walk back to the hotel takes seconds, but security checks to make sure you are a guest of the hotel before allowing entrance.   One day we took our rental car out to explore the island. We drove to the Natural Bridge and up to the North side of the island. We did a little off roading, not intentionally, but we seen the side of the island that most people don't. This year for NYE the trio decided to travel to Banff, Alberta, Canada to take in the beautiful Canadian Rockies! We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and enjoyed all the sights of Banff. Here is a list of some of the "Best" Banff had to offer. Best Experience: Alpine Helicopter Tour -we decided on the Three Sisters tour. A quick 12 minute flight, but the views were spectacular and the overall experience was amazing. Everyone has a window seat and it seats up to 5 people. Once you are in the air every thought seems to disappear and you are in the moment zipping along mountain ranges and trying to take everything in. I would have loved to try a longer flight, but this was a great taste of the Rockies. Best Food: Bison Restaurant  -after a long day of travelling this was our first stop in Banff, but it ended up being my favorite. The bison burger was probably one of the best options on the menu.
