Walking in a Winter Wonderland

So this week here at home we have had a surprising amount of snow. One day out of work and today we had a delay. Trixie is not having the snow It has been beautiful to see all the snow and has me reminiscing about our trip to Qu é bec City for New Years. For this week the blog posts will be all about our snowy Canadian vacation in the most beautifully decorated Christmas town! Arriving in Toronto! Our first adventure out in Qu é bec City Joey, Kelsey and Yona The bricks are made of ice! Every building had Christmas decorations We stayed in the Fairmont le  Château Frontenac sitting atop a hill overlooking the Petit-Champlain district, which happens to be picturesque with all the snow and decor. Once we arrived I felt like I was dropped in a snow globe, everything was just perfectly covered in snow and lights. This place definitely  got the magic of Christmas right! The hotel is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in....

Fall in love with Forsyth Park and Tybee

While in Savannah we decided to walk around our Airbnb neighborhood and take a ride out to Tybee Island. In the fall it can be windy and cold so bundle up and venture out! We were there on the weekend so we were able to check out the Farmer's Market in Forsyth Park. It is on the South end of the park near a really good coffee shop. We went to the Sentient Bean for a warm drink and breakfast. After we walked across the street to walk the park and check out all the market goodies. After exploring the park we decided to take a drive out to the beach and look around. We did not get to sit and enjoy the sun or the beach, but it was still nice to ride around and check out the lighthouse. In all the years we've been going to Tybee I have never been to the lighthouse so this was a nice surprise! Of course you can't go to Tybee without grabbing lunch at the Tybee Island Crab Shack! After lunch we headed back to the city to shop! I found a new jacket f...

Fall Fun in Savannah

Back to one of my favorite places, Savannah. This time I took my mom with me so she could see what all the fuss is about. We got up bright and early so we could eat at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. We got there around 11 and it was wrapped around the corner already. This is the longest I have ever waited in line to eat here, but once again was so worth it! My mom loved it and I was glad to share this with her. We left their miserable full and decided to walk around a bit. There are some really cute boutiques around the area where Mrs. Wilkes is located. My favorite shop is One Fish, Two Fish. They always have the cutest things,  but my new favorite might be The Paris Market. I am absolutely obsessed with everything in there. We checked another cute store next door called, La Paperie. They carry Kate Spade paper goods, desk accessories and holiday goodies. My mom picked me up a super Kate Spade travel mug and I got a new book: A Savannah Christmas; Interiors and Tr...
