Fall Fun in Savannah

Back to one of my favorite places, Savannah.

This time I took my mom with me so she could see what all the fuss is about. We got up bright and early so we could eat at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. We got there around 11 and it was wrapped around the corner already. This is the longest I have ever waited in line to eat here, but once again was so worth it! My mom loved it and I was glad to share this with her. We left their miserable full and decided to walk around a bit.

There are some really cute boutiques around the area where Mrs. Wilkes is located. My favorite shop is One Fish, Two Fish. They always have the cutest things,  but my new favorite might be The Paris Market. I am absolutely obsessed with everything in there. We checked another cute store next door called, La Paperie. They carry Kate Spade paper goods, desk accessories and holiday goodies. My mom picked me up a super Kate Spade travel mug and I got a new book: A Savannah Christmas; Interiors and Traditions from the Low Country. I love it!

After this we moved the vehicle a bit closer to River Street. We wandered around Broughton, Market Square and River Street. After time spent out and about we went to the bar area under The Olde Pink House for a Pink Lady and to enjoy the fire.

After what felt like such a long day we headed back to our super cute Airbnb near Forsyth Park. It was such a lovely first day in Savannah with my mom!

Gateway to the West: St. Louis

St. Louis is a beautiful place to visit in the fall. There are so many fun historical things to do in and around the city. My favorite place to visit is St. Charles, which is about 35 minutes Northwest of St. Louis. This is like a picture perfect fall town out of a movie. The cobblestone streets lined with cute local businesses and trees changing with the season are just charming. We walked along the street checking out the local shops and tried some of their local wine. I absolutely loved the warm pumpkin wine with whipped cream at Bella Vino. This was just a quintessential fall town and I absolutely fell in love with it! And of course no trip to St. Louis is complete with out a trip to the Gateway Arch!

Rocky Mountain High

Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful! We drove through Boulder up to Estes Park to enter the park. I loved watching the scenery change from rolling hills to rocky mountain peaks. I truly enjoyed the scenic drive as we climbed in elevation up to around 12,000 feet on Trail Ridge Road. We drove for about an hour or so to Medicine Bow Curve. From there you could see snow still on the mountain peaks in the distance and the temperature dropped from 80 degrees in Boulder to about 39 degrees at our turnaround point. The mountain range was quite a sight and went as far as the eye could see. This was such a great drive, but I wish we had more time to get out and hike. I would have loved to hit the trails and see what we could accomplish on foot. Maybe next time, but until then I will be dreaming of these Rocky Mountains. So excited we made it to RMNP!
