Bachelorette Weekend in Savannah

One of Kelsey's sorority sister's is getting married this month so they girls headed down to Savannah for a long weekend of fun in the sun.
Hello Savannah! I always get so excited to cross this bridge
We stayed in an Airbnb in the Southern area of the Historic District, slightly out of walking distance of River Street since it was so hot and humid. We absolutely loved the house! The modern clean feel went right along with all the Southern charm.

After the decorations went up

Our first night was very chill. We went to a Pirate theme escape room on Abercorn St. We escaped with 3 minutes to spare! It was a very fun and exciting activity. After that we headed back to our place so we could order pizza and watch Girls Trip. That movie is a hoot and we pretty much watched it on repeat the entire weekend. It was a great start to the weekend.

With only a 40% success rate we felt so accomplished after!
Friday we decided to head to J.Christopher's for brunch before going to Tybee Beach. This is a breakfast must if you visit Savannah.
The Breakfast Club and cheesy grits
Tybee was not crowded and it started sprinkling while we were there so it cleared out even more. It rained for about 90 seconds and then cleared up beautifully. We were able to enjoy the sand and sun before heading to my favorite place to eat, Tybee Island Crab Shack. I could eat here everyday, so I guess it's a good thing I don't live near there.

She said yaaas!!!

Half and Half is the best!
I know I just talked about food, but we have dinner reservations at the Pirate House for dinner. I just love the atmosphere of this place, all the history, the charm and of course pirates!  We had a fantastic dinner and for the bride to be they brought out champagne for the table! After dinner we headed to Wet Willies on River Street and then to the Tree House to dance the night away. Such a great night out with the girls!

Saturday we took our time getting up before heading to Moon River Brewing Co. for lunch. This is a great place for local craft beer and good eats. They brew in house and offer flights so you can try a variety of their options. For the afternoon we explore Downtown Savannah. We hopped on a carriage for a tour of the city, which was actually quite interesting. We also went to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. I've walked to it so many times and have never been in. So this time we went in and it was astonishing. I just sat there in awe for a good 15 minutes. A good afternoon spent walking around.

For dinner tonight everyone is to wear black for the Bach Night Out at The Bohemian Hotel. We had dinner reservations at Rocks on the River and after went to Rocks on the Roof for drinks. The drinks here are a little pricey compared to everything else on River Street, but the roof top bar and atmosphere are so worth it.

All black to the soon to be Mrs!

We celebrated the Bride to Be all weekend and it was a perfect weekend with the girls!

Gateway to the West: St. Louis

St. Louis is a beautiful place to visit in the fall. There are so many fun historical things to do in and around the city. My favorite place to visit is St. Charles, which is about 35 minutes Northwest of St. Louis. This is like a picture perfect fall town out of a movie. The cobblestone streets lined with cute local businesses and trees changing with the season are just charming. We walked along the street checking out the local shops and tried some of their local wine. I absolutely loved the warm pumpkin wine with whipped cream at Bella Vino. This was just a quintessential fall town and I absolutely fell in love with it! And of course no trip to St. Louis is complete with out a trip to the Gateway Arch!

Rocky Mountain High

Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful! We drove through Boulder up to Estes Park to enter the park. I loved watching the scenery change from rolling hills to rocky mountain peaks. I truly enjoyed the scenic drive as we climbed in elevation up to around 12,000 feet on Trail Ridge Road. We drove for about an hour or so to Medicine Bow Curve. From there you could see snow still on the mountain peaks in the distance and the temperature dropped from 80 degrees in Boulder to about 39 degrees at our turnaround point. The mountain range was quite a sight and went as far as the eye could see. This was such a great drive, but I wish we had more time to get out and hike. I would have loved to hit the trails and see what we could accomplish on foot. Maybe next time, but until then I will be dreaming of these Rocky Mountains. So excited we made it to RMNP!
